Hello People!
I am finally back from my 'Zi High' Camp!
This camp was a 2D1N CFA22 (Camp Facilitator Award) camp organized by Cheers Connect International (CCI) and my dear friend Ys was the host for the camp. Basically I got this invitation from him to join this leadership camp which I never regret my decision. The camp was totally awesome! Met many new friends from other polytechnics, SMU, SIM and all. All of them were very Spontaneous, Enthusiastic bunch of people!
1st Aug was the first day of camp and the day before I had my final exam. I was totally hyper from the end exam symptoms and was suffering the aftermath of late night studying till 5 to 6 am in the morning before sleeping. I couldn't sleep at all before camp, maybe with elements of excitement in me too. So I met dear early around 9 to go for breakfast at ECP Mcdonalds, so sweet of him to volunteer to join me at the camp. Then met up with the peeps and had some ice breaking games followed by telemath, lunch, check in to chalet, leadership modules plus cheers and BBQ! Yes, you seen it right, our camp is in a form of chalet. We had lots of fun cheering like mad people. We could practically tear down the whole of Sunkist beach resort and we were the highlights among other chalet occupants. We even did crazy stuffs by singing birthday songs for a girl celebrating her 21st Birthday. She was so overwhelmed by our enthusiastic response. LOL. Then at night, had some real interesting chats with camp mates, this session really bonded us all even closer to one another.
2nd August morning at 6.30am we had our morning run from the chalet all the way to the jetty and back again. It was super shiok! It has been a long time since I ran! The morning air was so fresh together with the sea breeze. We managed to catch the sunrise as well. Totally awesome! :)
Then after that was breakfast and more games. I found that we all love to hit one another by whacking other people's thighs till it was red whenever we have the chance. Totally enjoyable. LOL. Then it was pack up and checking out of chalet. We had Pizza Hut for lunch and then public speaking sessions. Basically we were to pair up and pretend that our fellow camp mates are the students we are going to lead. Paired up with Daniel but in the end he had headaches and could not join us for the session. So I had to conduct the session myself. Very glad that the response was kinda good. Fellow camp mates told me I did it well with lots of confidence even though I conducted the session alone. I was definitely happy and proud of my achievement. Ended the camp by throwing Ys into the sea and with cheers and dances till around 4. Went for a short ice cream session with the few camp mates then off to Geylang for my yummy BAN MIAN! :)
